Official album release concert for my latest album: Up There. The concert will begin with a brief artist talk discussing the context and creation of the music, followed by a performance of the album in full, and conclude with refreshments afterwards.
The concert is 100% and open to the public!
Up There is an album of all original music written by me, and performed by Keith Pray, Matt Neidbalski, and Jason Emmond. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Scott Petito at NRS Studios in Catskill NY.
The music for Up There was developed in conversation with the local landscape – both real and remembered. I visited places throughout Otsego County that hold significance to me as an artist and as an individual, reflecting upon my experiences and memories through journaling and musical improvisation. Full liner notes describing the composition process, context, and concept will be available on my website upon the album release.
The project Up There is funded by Earlville Opera House's Arts in the Community Grants Program, made possible by the NYS Legislature with support of the Office of the Governor, and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts.
This concert is part of the faculty recital series sponsored by the Hartwick College Music Department.
